At Dress Me Up Organic, these three principles guide each step of our product's design and creation - from the initial sourcing of raw materials, to our hand crafted production model, to the finishing touches like our sustainably produced hang tags and eco-gift wrapping. Where do your materials come from?
We have a great connection with our certified organic cotton and our wool suppliers – and both are located in North America. Our natural organic cotton is certified organic and is sourced from the USA, while our Canadian produced wool is processed in Alberta, at western Canada's last remaining traditional woolen mill.
Why source from within North America?
Striving to keep our sources within North America makes us confident in the organic cotton certification and our wool's production methods. Sourcing from closer to home also makes for a smaller shipping footprint and supports more local economies and businesses.
Why organic?
By embracing organically produced natural cottons, and choosing our materials and sources carefully, we know that Dress Me Up Organic is making a difference in the hands of our little ones, and in the cotton fields and farmlands of the world. What do you stuff your soft toys with?
We use clean, carded premium wool to stuff our organic cotton soft toys and our natural organic teether, the Teething Bonbon. Wool has so many positive, natural benefits! The lanolin makes wool naturally anti-bacterial – mildew and mould doesn't grow on wool. Wool is warm and springy, retains familiar, comforting scents and - amazingly - it's also naturally fire-resistant.
Where do you get your printed fabric?
All of our prints are our original, copyrighted artwork! Our artwork is custom printed in the USA onto GOTS certified organic cotton. We pre-wash all of our fabric to ensure colourfastness and to eliminate shrinkage (particularly for our organic baby blankets, organic cotton leaf bibs, and burp cloths).
How do I wash your organic teether, the Teething Bonbon®?
It's easy! Machine wash and dry along with your regular load.
How do I wash your organic cotton toys and other products?
Our stuffed soft toys are surface wash only while our organic baby blankets, organic cotton bibs and natural burps are machine wash and dry, or machine wash and hang dry. Each one of our products comes with an information tag showing the care details.
Do you ship internationally? What are your terms?
We do! Your shipping will be calculated automatically when you checkout!
